About Me

Hi, I’m Steven Arroyave — a qualified hypnotherapist and integrative therapist based in Norwich, offering one-to-one sessions in person and online.

I was born in Colombia, grew up in Spain, and have spent my adult life in the UK. These transitions across cultures and countries have shaped how I see the world — and how I connect with others. I bring a calm, down-to-earth approach to therapy that honours each person’s individuality, identity, and lived experience.

I’ve worked in youth mental health and emotional wellbeing for several years, supporting people through change, uncertainty, and personal growth. My practice blends person-centred counselling with tools from CBT and clinical hypnotherapy, depending on what works best for you.

I aim to offer a space that feels safe, respectful, and inclusive. As a gay therapist, I understand how valuable it can be to feel accepted and not have to explain parts of who you are — but I also know therapy is never one-size-fits-all. Whatever your background or what brings you here, I’ll meet you with curiosity and care.

A Little Bit More About Me

Outside of the therapy room, I’m passionate about movement and the outdoors — I’m a regular at the gym, and I love bike rides, long walks, and paddle-boarding when the weather allows. I’m also deeply interested in languages and culture, and enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life. These parts of life keep me grounded, energized, and remind me of the importance of balance — something I bring into my work too.
